Swedish Valei Computer ZC-HV0105 media streamer

It’s hard to tell exactly what’s so special about Swedish Valei Computer’s ZC-HV0105, but we’ll do our best to translate. This self-proclaimed Home Media Center looks an awful lot like a jazzed up router at first glance, and appears to tout a front LCD, DVI / component / S-Video / composite outputs, 720p / 1080i upscaling, support for an internal HDD, USB 2.0 connectivity, Ethernet and a slew of audio outs to boot. Best of all, this piece will play nice with a whole bucketful of formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, WMV, DivX, XviD and MPEG1/2/4. Sadly, we’ve no idea on the price, and worse still, we’ve a really bad feeling about it ever coming stateside.

Fujitsu’s light LOOX U50XN now with 64GB SSD

Fujitsu’s marvelously light LOOX U50XN — better known as the U810 here in the States — just keeps getting better. Apparently, to-be owners in Japan can now snag one with an oh-so-coveted 64GB SSD, though all the other specs look to remain identical to what we’ve already seen. ‘Course, adding such a fine piece of hardware won’t come cheap — as a matter of fact, you’ll be forced to cough up an extra ¥95,000 ($887) for the privilege. Oh, and the unconfirmed word on the street has the new drive option coming stateside in March, but don’t bet the farm on that just yet, alright?

Saleen SA-25 Sterling Edition Mustang

There are more special editions Mustangs than you can shake a wrench at, but of all the variants we’ve seen so far, the Saleen SA-25 Sterling Edition is one of our favorites. Not only does it take all the attributes of the stock model and accentuates them, the SA-25’s supercharged V8 comes packing 620 hp and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. The power matches the poise and we’ve added a handful of shots to the gallery below.

Numark’s TTi newfangled turntable

Sure, there’s a smorgasbord of products out there designed to transfer your precious vinyl recordings to a slightly more modern format, but few pack the cool factor that comes bundled in gratis with Numark’s TTi. This newfangled turntable not only brings back not-so-fond memories of your second high school prom, but it also boasts an integrated iPod dock, USB interface, a metal platter and pitch control to boot. Besides ripping records directly to your ‘Pod, the unit also features a line-level output and comes with versions of EZ Vinyl Converter software for the PC or Mac should you prefer vinyl-to-computer ripping. We know, it’s tough to leave the 70s, but the TTi should make the transition somewhat less painstaking when it lands in Q2 for $449. One more angle’s waiting after the break.

JVC’s new Everio GZ-MG740

We’re not sure why JVC didn’t announce their new Everio ¥100,000 GZ-MG740 (about $942) last week with all their other models. Nevertheless, the new 40GB peer to the 30GB GZ-MG730 was just announced in Japan. Other than the disk bump (and “Victor” not “JVC” badge), it’s a spec-for-spec twin to the 7.38-megapixel model MG730 which shoots 720 x 480 pixel video — right on down to that tiny 1.3-inch hard disk. That makes it the flagship model of their non-HD shooters. But you don’t really care about non-HD camcorders anymore do you? No worries, we can respect that.
