Being a DJ is a blast — you get to add your own touch to music you love. Now you don’t need a huge mixer to do it. The Pacemaker ($TBA; Fall 2007) is a pocket-size DJ system featuring a line out crossfader, headphone crossfader, bend and pitch, and more DJ-specific controls. From a technical standpoint, the device rocks a 120GB hard drive, a signal to noise ratio of more than 100dB, 18 hours of music playback, 5 hours of DJ operating time, and support for MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG Vorbis, WAV, as well as for Mac and PC.

Acer ties up with BMW on a new laptop

Acer and BMW have come together to bring out a very stylish new Laptop. BMW’s subsidy AG and Acer have revamped the Aspire notebook to a sleek design that is contemporary and yet fits in your budget. The new Aspire will feature Intel Corp.’s latest Santa Rosa chip, multimedia features, including Dolby surround sound, an HDMI slot, HD DVD players and 17-inch screens.

About 40 different models will be out to cater to different market segments. The models will be classified according to customer specifications. But according to the company customers won’t have to bear the brunt of the extra design efforts put in by the company. The pricing will remain competitive.

The Acer+BMW tie up laptop Aspire will be out in June and will be available worldwide.

The Soltonix Headphone AM/FM Stereo Radio is using the power of the sun to power up the AAA battery located in the ear piece. It provides you around 19 hours of playback, which is pretty impressive. The Soltonix headphones is now available at ScientificOnline for $49.95.

When turned off, all power goes to recharging the batteries. One hour of charging in full sun gives 1-2 hours of night-time use while the fully charged battery provides over 18 hours of radio play.
