Looking for a stylish desk lamp to complement you sexy desktop? BALMUDA design, well-known for producing simple and stylish products, has unveiled Highwire, a LED desk lamp which for the first time emits enough light for practical use. They claim it to be the brightest LED desk lamp in the world boasting an incredibly long life span.

Generally, your desktop needs around 300-700 Lux of light, but the Highwire produces more than 1,000 Lux so that you can work with ease. Strikingly, it is able to retain 70% of its original light output even after 50,000 hours. The color emitted by Highwire matches the color of a computer display therefore, the display is not distorted. The light coming from Highwire does not include infrared rays and so emits less heat. The Highwire light gradually brightens when turned on and dims when turned off, thanks to a slow start and stop mechanism. There are two models available, named Highwire 1100 and Highwire 1300, priced at $630 and $660 respectively.
